It has been nearly thirty years since the virus first spread from a medical research lab. A group of survivors now resides on a small island, connected to the mainland by a heavily guarded causeway. When one of them ventures off the island on a mission to the city center of the mainland, they uncover the secrets and truths of the outside world.
