Meanwhile, Curtis and Meredith are raising three children: their teenage daughter Iris and two sons, Cal and Preston. Each child grapples with their own challenges—Preston struggles with anxiety, Iris faces pressure from her boyfriend Sawyer to become sexually active, and Cal copes with a respiratory condition. At work, Curtis's boss, Marcus, shares insights about an emerging A.I. company, which deepens Curtis's unease about the rapidly expanding industry. During a meeting with the company's development team—composed of Melody, Lightning, and Sam—Curtis is introduced to AIA and is encouraged to test the program to refine marketing strategies.

Melody installs AIA in Curtis's home, where it begins analyzing the family’s routines, restructuring their schedules, and seemingly elevating their overall quality of life. Soon after, the team showcases AIA's massive quantum computer, a powerful feature that allows the system to learn and adapt at an unprecedented speed.
