By the year 2154, Earth has been devastated by resource depletion and ecological collapse. To address these challenges, the Resources Development Administration (RDA) extracts unobtanium, a highly valuable mineral, from Pandora—a verdant and habitable moon orbiting a gas giant in the Alpha Centauri star system. Despite its lush environment, Pandora's atmosphere is toxic to humans. The moon is home to the Na'vi, a race of 10-foot-tall (3-meter), blue-skinned, intelligent humanoids who live in deep harmony with their natural surroundings.
