Paleontologist Alan Grant is tirelessly seeking funding to support his research on velociraptors, aiming to demonstrate their advanced intelligence and social behaviors. However, he finds himself constantly battling public fascination with the Isla Nublar incident and the San Diego InGen incident, which overshadow his efforts. Encouragement comes from his former girlfriend, Ellie Sattler, and his assistant, Billy Brennan, who uses 3D printing technology to replicate a velociraptor larynx as part of their studies. Meanwhile, a wealthy couple, Paul and Amanda Kirby, offer to fund his research. In return, they request an aerial tour of Isla Sorna, claiming that they have obtained permission for the flight.
