Six months after the Indomilosaurus incident, a small mercenary team arrived at the abandoned Nubra Island with the mission of extracting DNA from the remains in the lagoon. While a two-person crew was collecting bone samples, their submersible was devoured by a megalodon. The team was further attacked by a Tyrannosaurus rex, but the surviving members managed to escape aboard a helicopter, successfully securing the samples. Meanwhile, the megalodon swam through a partially opened underwater gate, making its way into the open ocean.
