"Materialists," a film written and directed by Celine Song, was announced in February 2024. The project is being produced by Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler of Killer Films, along with David Hinojosa of 2AM. The cast includes Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal in leading roles. 

In the same month, Deadline reported that the producers were actively seeking financiers for the film. A24 was named as the international sales agent and local distributor, tasked with presenting the project to potential investors at the European Film Market. Additionally, IPR.VC was confirmed as a co-financier for the production.
